Church Council

 If you would like to join a board, don't be shy! It's perfectly all right to contact the chair or member to express your interest. There are a number of people who have served on boards for many years and would welcome having new people and fresh ideas.

                      Member-at-Large

People have been asking about the council position of Member-at-Large -- what is it and what does this person do? The Member-at-Large is neither large or at-large, but represents the entire congregation in any and all matters. The bylaws state that "there shall be three Members-at Large to represent the congregation at meetings of the Church Council." Currently there is one person with that responsibility -- Jeanne Stano. Our congregation is so small that we really don't need three people, but if anyone would like to volunteer, the Council would be happy to have you. The duties listed in the bylaws are rather vague, but essentially, if anyone has a concern that he or she would like the Church Council to address, the person to contact is Jeanne. She would bring up that concern at a Council Meeting and it would be discussed and resolved if necessary. If you have something you want brought up at Council Meeting, speak to Jeanne. She will be happy to take care of it.
